...does it exist? I'm aware that school food in the states is lacking, but where are the good points?
Recently I was invited by a class of 5th graders here in Italy to 'enjoy' lunch with them. It was pretty good in comparison to American school lunches: Roasted Chicken thighs with a mix of boiled potatoes and artichoke hearts. It was a little bland but not bad!
Back in Oregon when I was in school I used to LOVE the sandwich bar. You show up to the cafeteria, go to the 'Deli' window, and it was like Subway only without the fancy bread choices. With all of the 'Salad Bar' options you could fit on your plate and a carton of milk for a buck fifty? I KNOW! I wish I could get that every day!
