How Do You Season Pizza Sauce?
Yesterday, @dhorst asked about alternative pizza sauces, so as long as we're on the topic how do you season your typical tomato based pizza sauce or if using whole tomatoes do you add any seasoning and if so what are they. After much experimentation, I have settled on 3 crushed garlic cloves, a teaspoon of dried oregano and a liberal dose of salt and fresh ground black pepper to a 28 oz. can of high quality crushed tomatoes for my sauce. What's your favorite?
