What to do with delicious salted creamery butter?

Some dear friends of ours started getting their milk and butter delivered from a local creamery. For Christmas, they gave us a 16 oz tub of salted butter.
Besides spreading it on bread (the dinner rolls are rising), what else should I use it for? Any great cookie recipes that let the butter shine? Should I suck it up and go buy a lobster?
