Weekend Cook and Tell: Cookie Recipe Swap

Welcome to Weekend Cook and Tell. Every Wednesday we page through the food sections of various national newspapers to come up with an idea for a weekend cooking project. We hope you'll bake along with us and share your experiences, recipes, and photos here.

We are smack in the middle of cookie baking season. It seems like hardly a website or newspaper section out there isn't bursting with cookie recipes. The New York Times asked readers to submit their favorite cookie recipes, the Houston Chronicle rounded up over 40 cookie recipes broken down into helpful categories such as prizewinning, vibrantly decorated, and easy and fast, and here at Serious Eats we shared 28 cookies from our second annual cookie swap.

For this week's challenge we want you to tell us about all of the tasty cookies that you've been baking this holiday season. Sugary, buttery thumbprints, sandwiches, chocolate chips, pfeffernüsse or gingerbread, this is the week to share your best of the season. If you haven't gotten around to baking this year and are still unsure as to which batch to bake, we're got you covered with enough cookie recipes to last you through many, many holiday seasons.

Show us photos of your cookie creations on Photograzing (make sure to include "Cook and Tell" in your submission title), and tell us about your recipes here! If you'd like to blog the experience, please leave a link in the comments below. We'll post a round-up of your cookie ideas, recipes, and experiences next Wednesday.
