Stollen has always been my favorite Christmas bread, slightly sweet yeast bread loaded with rum soaked dried fruits with an almond paste center. Most years I make a dozen or more loaves, mostly to give as gifts.
But this year I would like to shake things up. What do you suggest for a festive bread I can hand out this season?
