Why do you like to make food?

One thing I've noticed in the short 24 years of my life is that there are two people in this world: those who like to make food, and those who don't.

I'm guessing most of us here do like to make food, and I guess partially that comes from simply liking to eat. But what's the other part, for you? What else drives you to make food for yourself and others instead of going out and getting it pre-made or at a restaurant most nights?
