I am a first year law-student and Thanksgiving falls right in the middle of crunch time for exams...soo I won't be able to make it home for the first time since I can remember. My boyfriend is coming to stay with me so that I won't be alone for the holiday and I am going to attempt to make a Thanksgiving meal for two. At home, I usually make sides/dessert but have never tackled a turkey.

Any tips on turkey preparation/dishes that would be easy AND won't leave us with a ridiculous amount of leftovers?
