IMHO, The Food Lab deserves its own top-level recognition on the site. However, more broadly: If you know you want to see "The Food Lab" recipes, for the longest time, the only way I could figure to get them from the home page was to use the search engine to find things tagged "the food lab".

After much hunting, I also worked out that the drop-down menu called "Columns " is ALSO a clickable button which takes you to a page which helps you locate various columns. This is quite challenging to notice, since when you roll over "columns", you are confronted with a drop-down menu with two items in it.

Seems to me that "Columns" should present you with a menu of the different columns ("Dinner Tonight", "The Food Lab", etc.).

I would also suggest using more host names to aid navigation: In addition to slice.seriouseats.com, add on thefoodlab.seriouseats.com, dinnertonight.seriouseats.com, etc.
