Mushroom Popcorn Questions

I'm thinking of making an assortment of caramel corn, cheddar corn, chocolate covered popcorn, etc. for Christmas presents, and want to use mushroom corn, which means I'll have to buy the kernels online.

Huge hulls was a common complaint in the comments on one site. One person suggested shaking the popped corn in a paper bag. I'm wondering if any of you have had any experience with mushroom corn, and if the large hulls is a general problem, or might be specific to that site's variety. What do you do about the large hulls? I'm wondering if this is why we don't find the kernels in the grocery store, and if the large commercial operations have an efficient way of getting rid of the hulls.

Where have you bought your mushroom popcorn kernels?
