Waiter's Corkscrew v. Rabbit
I like everything about the traditional waiter's corkscrew (small, portable, efficient) except for the damage it does to the cork. You can still re-cork the bottle, but almost always the cork has a big hole on top, and sometimes it's seriously chewed up.
By contrast the only thing I really like about the fast big honking "rabbit" style pullers is how little they damage the cork, often invisibly.
As far as I can tell the only real reason for this difference is how thin the screw is on the fancy pullers.
So... are there waiter's corkscrews with a thin, non-damaging screw/spiral/worm?
