How much time do you spend cooking?
I see all these comments about people doing their own canning, making their own spaghetti sauce, creating noodles and pizza dough from scratch and just in general doing lots of cooking. So - how much time do you all spend cooking? On weekdays time is short, so it's something fast like spaghetti or a quick saute. I often make the full pound of pasta or whatever so the two of us can eat it for lunch and dinner later. (That also reminds me of people who use something like roast chicken to make 5 different meals - I make roast chicken so I don't have to cook for 5 meals!) Weekends are more for spending time on recipes. For those who do cook a lot, what are your secrets of efficiency so you can make the most of your time? How do you balance your cooking with the rest of your lives?
