What can I do with a bountiful harvest of Mission Figs?

I'm in Southern California, and my six-year-old fig tree is loaded with fruit that will begin to ripen very soon. Does anyone have some ideas for using it up? I like to eat them fresh, but one can only deal with so much that way. These are the dark variety of figs. The inside is a rosy color and very sweet.
