Where to eat out for Thanksgiving Day in NY?

I'm going to be in NY with group of fellow Aussie gals celebrating a 40th birthday in late November. Where can we go to eat out on that night for a traditional thanksgiving day meal? Also looking for great place for special birthday dinner for 8 of us - we all love good food and will pay for it but don't want over rated and stuffy fine dining.Only other thing is the birthday girl isn't into seafood.

Suggestions??
