Burger Kitchen fiasco/Blogger ethics
I was disappointed to find the comments closed in the La Frieda Burger Kitchen piece. I had planned to say that while this situation is certainly regrettable, what I hoped would come out of it was a realization on Damon's part that best practice is to not accept freebies from potential reviewee, whether part of such a review or not.
Further, while the proprietor of this place seems like a real toolbox after the dustup in the comments sections, I don't think it's appropriate for Damon to submit an additional review.
Look, we're not talking about life or death stuff here, but if it's what you choose to do, you should be concerned with the integrity with which you do it. While I am not calling Damon's integrity into question, I believe he made a mistake in accepting free burgers, and I think he would only compound that mistake by reviewing Burger Kitchen after what has now taken place.
