For this week's episode, the chefs have to recreate a healthful school lunch meal. Apparently, a few mishaps were inevitable and sadly, it's because some can't tell a vegetable from a fruit. If you were a contestant, what would you serve the kids? The challenge: a main, a side, a vegetable, and a dessert with fruit.
I would make a vegetable stir-fry (sliced carrots, red pepper, mushrooms, baby bok choy, whole wheat sphaghetti) as a main, steamed edamame as a side, pickled cucumbers as a vegetable and a 'shot' of fruit smoothie (blend of mango, bananas, apples) as a dessert.
