Wanted: 'culinary ambassadors' from the worldwide SE community

UPDATE: The program is now rolling along. And I've made it easy for anyone from SE to file a dispatch using Google Docs. Go here for the SE Culinary Ambassador One-Sheet, with links to current/ongoing assignments.

Hola, SE'rs! I'm working on an ongoing project that I need your help with. I'm trying to gather "culinary ambassadors" from outside the U.S. and around the world who can enlighten the SE community from time to time on given topics.

What I'm Looking For/Working Toward ...

SE'rs from all over the globe—wherever and everywhere*—who are intimately familiar with the cuisine of their home countries, who are strong writers, and who can fill us in periodically with a paragraph or two about what your fellow citizens eat and drink.

I'd throw out the topic, gather the responses, and publish them on SE in a short post. Let's say, "What's a typical breakfast in [YOUR COUNTRY]?"

See what I'm getting at? We'd all love to know about breakfasts around the world, amiright?

I think it would be fun to get "culinary ambassadors" reporting on what's delicious in Denmark, tasty in Thailand, yummy in Yemen, etc.

If you're interested, email me at adam@seriouseats.com

SE'rs: What Topics Would You Suggest?

And for folks who think this sounds promising, what topics/food categories would you like to see the "culinary ambassadors" cover? Let us all know in the comments.

* We already have the U.S. covered, but if you are U.S.-based but intimately familiar (like on a native, have-lived-there level) with the cuisine in question, we'd like to hear from you, too.
