As a server, there are a lot of things about which I'd like to address the general public. This is not about tipping, and I'd like to keep it that way so as not to make anyone hostile. This is about some behaviors that customers engage in that are a little off putting.
For example, when only a single diner at a table is finished and asks, "Well, don't you have a dessert menu?" in a tone that suggests that I neglected to present said menus. I generally present dessert menus after everyone has finished their dinner and it is rude to your dining companions to insist on them before they are finished.
I'd like to hear what other servers have to say about customer behavior and any defense customers have of said behavior. I'm a little bored today and up for some back and forth.
