saute/simmer pans..

I am looking for a saute/simmering pan...and I am at a loss as to the size...3 quart or 4 quart? Does anyone have an opinion?

Is there much of a difference? All clad has a 3 quart copper lined saute/simmer and the have the new d5 4 quart....again any thoughts? thanks!
