Cooking in Shanghai- Recipe suggestions?
I am currently in Shanghai, visiting relatives. They know that I love to cook and bake, and I want to cook a meal for them. I'm probably going to make dinner, and I am drawing a blank on what to make. I do want to make "western" food, because they only know how to cook Chinese food. And fortunately, they have an oven (which is rare in a Chinese kitchen) that has never been used. Any suggestions? Hopefully I can find certain ingredients in this city. I know I can get a lot of fresh produce. There is this large open air market near the apartment, and I can't wait to shop there!
