Welcome to the Weekend Cook and Tell. Every Wednesday we rifle through the food sections of various national newspapers to create a weekend cooking project. We hope you'll cook along with us and share your experiences, recipes, and photos here.
This week's challenge isn't about cooking as much as it is about taking pictures of food. Today's New York Times ran a great piece about food photography. Kate Murphy interviewed bloggers, food diarists, and even a psychiatrist who spoke about the obsessive-compulsive leanings of those who methodically photograph everything they eat.
This week's challenge is all about photographing food. We want to see all of your best food photos, and hear all of your tips for taking better pictures and presenting more photogenic food. Any amusing anecdotes about taking pictures at restaurants, expensive cameras dropped into bowls of soup, or impatient dining companions are also welcome.
Show us your photos on Photograzing (make sure to include "Cook and Tell" in your submission title), and tell us about your recipes here! If you'd like to blog the experience, please leave a link in the comments below. We'll post a round-up of your photos, tips, and experiences next Wednesday with all of your most beautiful food pics.
