Homemade instant Cafe Vienna?
I admit that I am not a connoisseur of coffee by any means, but I do like General Foods International Cafe Vienna, a mixture of powdered cream, instant coffee, sugar (or Splenda) and cinnamon. Someone who likes real coffee probably wouldn't touch this; in fact it's not even called coffee, it's called a coffee drink mix. Any, I like it but it is pretty expensive for the little bit you get in that little rectangular can.
I saw a recipe for making your own calling for 2/3 cup each powdered cream and sugar, 3/4 c. instant coffee and 1/2 tsp. cinnamon. You use 4 tsp. for each cup of boiling water. I'd hate to buy instant coffee and powdered cream and not like it. It would be a real waste. Has anyone tried it?
