I will be travelling to Canada to visit two old friends, each has two small kids under 8, and I need your help with some food-related gift ideas. I have considered those cute hand-made chocolate mice from L.A. Burdick (previously featured on Serious Eats). I'm sure both the kids and the adults will love them, but $46 for 16 pieces is a bit too steep. Are there any alternatives that are more affordable?
