East Village Butcher?

So I was shopping at Whole Foods yesterday for some chicken breasts. I picked up one of the vacuum-sealed packages to inspect it, and I realized it was pretty hard to tell what was actually in it because of the packaging. Not to mention how much waste that packaging produces. Needless to say, I bought the chicken, but I did feel a little guilty and disconnected from the whole process. I have decided to start buying my meat from a butcher. Anyone feel the same way? Any suggestions in or near the East Village?
