Serious Eats: Talk
My dad gave me a two-pound bag of frozen mussels he purchased at Walmart for three bucks. I have no idea what to do with them seeing as how they're not fresh: they're frozen, pre-cooked, and in their shell. Am I the only one that thinks this is bizarre?
I've never been one to waste food and I'd like to try them, I'm just worried about over heating them and making them rubbery because- as I said- they're already cooked. Pasta applications with white wine, butter, and tons of garlic came to mind, but I don't know if that will work with these.
