It's Mardi Gras (aka Shrove Tuesday) today which means it's also Pancake Day.
When it comes to eating pancakes, it seems there are two camps in terms of toppings
- The butter-and-syrup folks
- The fruit-topping contingent
The butter-and-syrup folks seem to prefer a minimalist aesthetic, whereas the fruit folks range from the simple application of one or two fruits to a veritable sundae of toppage, including whipped cream, walnuts, fruit etc.
