I'm visiting NY for the 5th now. I love the city !!
I've never prepared any of my visits in the past and mostly go along with the city vibe. It brings me to very special places... but when it comes to food... it brings me primarily the "American" fast food culture, which I don't like that much.

Cold you NY folks help me out here... I'm looking for good, affordable restaurants. I'm staying in a 10av hotel, but I've no problem with other good locations (the village, little Italy, Chinatown ...). I'm travelling with my girlfriend and we like all kind of food (American, European, French, Italian, Chinese, ...).

Because we need breakfast, lunch and dinner every day (we're staying 4 days) I can't afford hundreds of dollars on food. We like good, healthy and simple food. So no chique 5* restaurants restaurants please. That's not in my style (and budget ;-) ).

I hope you NY people can give my some original and intresting options. A good atmosphere is also important. I'm from Belgium (Bruges) so I now what good food is... I'm sure NY can offer the same... but you New Yorkers have to help me a little bit...
