I have three perfectly-ripe large beautiful avocados sitting on my counter that I was going to use tomorrow, but have found out I have to go out of town until Sunday . . . can I stick them in the fridge (whole, unpeeled) for the weekend? They are so ripe they are on the verge of being overripe if I leave them out. Just wondering if the flesh inside would turn brown if the whole thing is refrigerated . . .
