Well, with all the hype surrounding the Ad Hoc Fried Chicken--I thought I'd give it a shot. I followed the recipe to a "T" and felt that there was too much bay leaf flavor in the finished product (husband felt the same way). Kids loved it, but they always like fried chicken, which is something I don't often make because fried foods give me "the fried food headache," and I hate the smell that lingers in the air. (I may also be feeling somewhat sour because SU lost to Louisville in college BB today on home turf) Six months from now I may make it again with the windows wide open and half as much bay leaf in the brine. So what did you guys make/do on this V-day?
