What to do with phyllo dough?

A couple of weeks ago I sent my husband to the store for frozen puff pastry and he came home with phyllo dough. Before I sent him back to the store, I did some googling to confirm my hunch that this isn't a suitable substitute. So what to do with the phyllo dough -- do you have a favorite easy recipe? Baklava = not easy. Or am I wrong about that?
