Taking Nominations: Most Helpful SEer of the Year

Thinking back to something dmcavanagh brought up, I'd like to close out the year that was and begin this one by looking back and highlighting the folks who make Talk the useful and fun place that it is in 2009. That's basically everyone who's ever left a comment or started a thread here. Still, there are some folks here who we all know we can turn to for great advice and/or others for a much-needed laugh.

So over the long holiday weekend here, we're going to be taking nominations and voting in three categories (the next two of which I'll be posting in a bit). The first one, this one, is Most Helpful Serious Eater of the Year.

How It Works

Nominate your fellow most-helpful SEer here. At midnight on January 2, we'll close nominations, take the top 5 nominees (as determined by amount of nominations), and put them in a poll for you to vote on. Voting will continue until 3 p.m. ET Monday, January 4, when we will close the polls and announce the winner.

The Prize

Glory and recognition from your fellow serious eaters ain't enough?!? Fine! ;)

We'll be giving away a $50 gift certificate for use at our kitchenware partner, Cooking.com.

You can view our store there at cooking.com/seriouseats, and be sure to sign up for the Serious Eats Store newsletter to keep up with kitchenware deals!

Talk is closed, but that doesn't mean the conversations have to stop!

Check out this post for a more thorough explanation, and jump onto our Facebook page or our Twitter feed to keep the conversations going!
