Our household has a few "borderline" health issues. (Not health issues yet, but heading that direction.)
One fairly easy way to resolve them is to lose a few pounds and reduce our carb intake. We're already on track with excercise, lots of fresh fruit, vegetables and whole grains. It's just a matter of reducing the pasta, rice, bread and potatoes. The high glycemic carbs.
I did some research and think the South Beach diet style of eating will work well for us.
Has anyone had any experience with it? Did it work for you? What are some of your favorite recipes or food combinations?
We're on our way, but a little pep talk wouldn't hurt. It's going to suck to practically give up good bread. *sighs*
Ah, but the benefits, the benefits.....
