Last night I found myself and a friend trying to locate the with out a doubt favorite food spot of serious eats Motorino (the East Village location)

Not having the exact location but knowing it was on 12th street (around 1st or 2nd) we stumbled into what my friend thought was Motorino. We figured it was the spot based on the authentic looking oven and no name on the door (we did not realize until we had ordered that this was not in fact the pizza place we had set out for)

I ended up in a place called Numero 28 (on 12th and 2nd ave)

The food to my surprise was not terrible despite the place being empty (I was the only person inside). The fact they do not take credit cards threw me off a little but what can you do.

Does anyone have any more information about this spot?
