Mom vs. MIL: Whose Cuisine Reigns Supreme?
We've touched on this on a bunch of threads, but I thought it would be fun to get it all in one place.
Mom doesn't have to literally be "mom" but whoever cooked for you when you were growing up, whether it was mom, dad, an older sibling, a nanny, gramma or whoever. What kind of food and cooking were normal when you were growing up?
In the same way, MIL doesn't have to be just MIL; it could be your BF or GFs family, the ex-MIL, or even your BFF's family who invitated you to family dinners and holiday meals. So, after thinking that Mom's dinners were completely normal, now you've learned about this other family food style that's different.
