Eating Out
"May I see the wine list?" "No problem." ???!!!
I may have finally turned into a curmudgeon, but since when did "No Problem" become a standard response from waitstaff if you either make a request, like asking for water, or if you say "Thank You"?
Why should I assume it's a problem for a server to do whatever their job should entail? And isn't the usual reply to "Thank you" , "You're Welcome"?
A recent dinner out with 4 at the table yielded 14 "No Problems" and no "You're welcomes".
It's not just waitstaff, it seems to be everywhere. The bank, the market. Gah!
Or is it just me?
