I've got a couple gift cards to spend, and while it would make sense to hang on to them until I really NEED something, since they were gifts I'm leaning towards buying slightly more indulgent things.

Along those lines, I'm thinking that the Kitchenaid fruit/vegetable strainer/grinder accessory might be handy when I'm making tomato sauce next year.

Does anyone have one of these? What do you think of it? Would it work to puree something like strawberries and strain the seeds out?

What else do you use it for?
