Jarred Roasted Red Peppers - Oil vs Water?

I recently discovered that I love Roasted Red Peppers. We had a jar in the fridge and I have been putting them on everything. I was just curious, which do you prefer, those packed in oil or in water? The ones I had were packed in water and were delicious, but maybe oil packed ones have more flavor? I dont know. Anything else that is better in oil or water? Thanks!
