Challah help
I have been working on making the perfect challah for a while now. I have tried so many recipes! I have a recurring problem no matter which recipe I use.
EVerything goes totally according to the instructions. My problem is that during and after the last rise (when the bread is braided already) it spreads out thin and doesn't hold the shape of the challah so I end up with a thin and wide loaf.
In all the pictures in all the tutorials I have seen they braid their challah, let it rise one last time, put it on a baking sheet and it holds its shape and comes out perfect.
Any ideas what I am doing wrong??
