I've been freelance writing for three years and over the course of this last year in particular, my sleeping hours went insane. There wasn't a single day where I didn't go to sleep until at least 5 a.m. I would then sleep until 1 p.m. or so, eat one large meal a day, and spend the rest of the day working.
Two or three weeks ago I was really sick and actually fell asleep early. After almost three years of weird hours, that one night fixed everything and now I'm going to bed early and waking up in the morning like a normal person.
The point being that before I was never awake for breakfast, but now that I wake up so early I'm ravenous in the morning (especially after walking the dog). In the past three weeks I've eaten more scrambled eggs, more servings of granola and yogurt, and more bananas than I care to count. I'm getting really burnt out on it, so I'm hoping you guys can offer me some breakfast ideas that are somewhat healthy. I don't mind cooking in the morning, so that isn't an issue. I just don't really like the obvious breakfasts that come to mind like pancakes, waffles, toast, etc.
I want something hearty, somewhat healthy, and ideally something that doesn't require too much work. Please offer any suggestions you may have and if you can, tell me what you eat for breakfast. I find those "What's for Dinner" posts great because they give me new ideas and I'm sure the same can be done for breakfast.
