tip of the cap...
i celebrated my birthday this past weekend - in doing so, i was fortunate to eat a few truly phenomenal foods. i'd like to tip my cap to these restaurants/establishments and give these dishes, for whatever it's worth, a most heartfelt shoutout:
eleven madison park: foie gras torchon with maple syrup, suckling pig
babbo: warm lamb's tongue vinaigrette with a three minute egg (and beef cheek ravioli...and sweetbreads)
five points: mac & cheese
two little red hens: carrot cake!
a heartfelt thank you to the above establishments for helping to make my birthday special! these foods truly added to my experience. have you had any particularly memorable dishes lately that stand out in your mind? shout them out!
