Do good spatulas still exist?

I'm at my wits end looking for a decent spatula for my dad. First, to clarify, I'm looking for the metal (non-slotted) turning/flipping type, not the silicone scrapping down the side of a bowl type.

My problem is that they all seem to be either too stiff or crazy flexible. We had an old one (handle broke) that was perfect, just flexible enough that you could flip stuff without the entire thing buckling. Are these extinct?
