stuffing-- eggs or not?

This is my first attempt at stuffing -- dressing to be more exact. It will be baked alongside. I have looked at many recipes and I get the gist of it (I am not one to follow recipes to the dot...). None of the recipes I looked at have eggs in them, but I keep thinking that someone told me once that it needed a couple to bind all the stuff together. Please advise!
