Hi -- I recently bought a Kitchen Aid stand mixer (the classic 250W) type, and I have been using it for some of the recipes I used to make with just a hand mixer. For some reason, I am finding that the recipes are not turning out the same. For example, last night I made (a half recipe) of Ina Garten's chocolate cake in the stand mixer and it came out awful! Completely dry and hard. That recipe has never failed me using a hand mixer. I think the problem was the KA was not able to mix all the ingredients well maybe since I halved the recipe? Seems like when there is not enough in the bowl, the KA is not able to mix everything well. Has anyone else had this kind of problem? Thanks!
