northern new jersey help

So I moved across the river, and desperately need help with the food! The take out chinese is greasy and bland, the pizza crust is so thin it's floppy, and the bagels taste like doughy bread.

Any help for a new yorker who's stuck across the river in essex county (anywhere near south orage, west orange, maplewood is good!)
