There's a chill in the air here in the southland so we're having pot roast with coconut cake for dessert. Not a baseball fan but good luck with your game!

Sunday Dinner here with assorted kids, grand kids and grand dogs, we're having Swedish Lasagna, spinach salad with maple dressing, toasted Italian bread and cookies & leftover Halloween candy for dessert.

I made chili yesterday but I don't want it again today so I decided on plain ole spaghetti. Homemade sauce is thawing now.

Roast chicken with roasted fingerling potatoes, corn, green salad and homemade bread. Something to warm up the house--it's a bit cool here.

I'm roasting my first duck in preparation for preparing them for Thanksgiving. Don't know what the rest of the meal will be. I have to scour my roasting cookbooks so I get it reasonably right..
@POM I was so sad to see the Phils lose their lead last night. Maybe today will be theirs to win.

I'm making spaghetti and meatballs...I just made the meatballs and have the sauce on -low and slow...with garlic bread and 2 types of salads-broccoli cauliflower salad in a lemon vinagrette and roasted beet salad with a balsamic vinagrette...
We are a house divided-Hubby is from Philly and I'm a N.Y.'er--I gotta say, "Go Yankees!"
@NanaJoie-what is a Swedish Lasagna? Sounds good

We'll probably have another dinner late in the evening...potato corn chowder with Cajun turkey on sour dough. Oops, I knew I forgot something. We didn't get alfalfa sprouts. :(

I roasted duck legs with figs, shallots and dandelion wine, served it with a combo of mashed sweet and white potatoes.

Cooking for one tonight, I went with breakfast for dinner: two cooked corn tortillas topped with a little bit of refried beans, then two fried eggs and a little bit of cheddar cheese smothered in salsa.

Homemade chicken soup with carrots and celery, an onion and cheddar quiche, and upside-down tomato basil bread. With the bread, I went overboard on the red pepper flakes, so both hubby and I were tearing up even as we were wolfing it down, hehe.

It was chicken and dill dumplings with a side of steamed (actually microwaved) broccoli. Dessert was homemade blackberry ice cream with Giada's hazelnut chocolate chip cookies. Comfort food all the way on a rainy Sunday in DC!
