Best black bean soup recipe??

Are you out there? I have a few cookbooks but am looking to all you foodies.

Serving it for a gathering this next weekend, and looking for something that will satisfy the vegetarians as well (I know, I know you pork lovers). Preferably a recipe that will lend itself well to various topics such as cilantro, cheese, sour cream, etc.

Thanks!

As a starting point, I use one I found quite a while ago from Cooking Light. Here's the link. http://find.myrecipes.com/recipes/recipefinder.dyn?action=displayRecipe&recipe_id=222950

Instead of all of the salsa called for, I usually saute finely chopped garlic, onion and jalepenos in olive oil, then continue with the recipe.

There is one here on SE that is delicious--it calls for a fried egg on top. I made it and BigMan kept saying what is in here that is bad for me? Lard-no. Heavy cream-no. Butter--no. It has a very rich taste.

This hearty Black Bean Soup should hopefully appease the vegetarians! :)
