Cheese. Their cheese section is FANTASTIC.

I love their bakery section. The gourmet potato chips are also full of noms. :D

EVERYTHING!
Meats raised without growth hormones and antibiotics
cold cuts made without nitrates from meats grown without hormones, etc.
breads made without high fructose corn syrup
sweets made entirely from cane sugar and natural/organic ingredients
desserts made on site by professional pastry chefs (not in a factory)
dairy products made without growth hormones and antibiotics
dozens of yogurts made without artificial sweeteners
whole grains and legumes by the pound for a fraction of normal cost
fair trade and organic coffee roasted on site
wild fish that has been caught through sustainable fishing practices
etc, etc

i love the bulk bins for snacks and nuts. that would be appropriate for the game. also, the hot bar/salad bar of most WF's is awesome! sneak in a hunk of corn bread and some hot soup. oh, and grab some cookies at the bakery! most are devine!

I really like their herb rubbed turkey lunchmeat. That said I also love their english muffins, and buffets.

Smoked chicken lunchmeat (nitrate free) Strauss farm's milk and butter. Salt and vinegar kettle potato chips YUM

Be careful of thinking lunchmeats at WF are without nitrites or nitrates. Such statements can be interpreted as purposely misleading the consumer because materials such as celery- and cane sugar juice as well as selected types of salt, which are high in "natural" nitrate, are used in the production of such "healthy" meat products.

There is mounting speculation that soil, used for growing those plants in first place, is enriched with nitrate to enhance the level of "natural nitrate" within them.

The grey-zone starts when such "natural" nitrate is introduced into meat products in conjunction with bacteria which are able to reduce nitrate to nitrite. As a result, nitrite is obtained indirectly, and present in the meat product forming the desired curing colour.

Another misleading marketing-strategy of such a process is that nitrite normally, when added directly to meat during processing, is most often declared as "preservative" on the label of the meat product.

By adding nitrite "indirectly" it does not need to be declared on the label of the product and the term "preservative" therefore can be avoided on the label.

In most countries the term "preservative" in a meat product is not well liked. Nitrate-containing vegetable or plant juices are most often declared as "vegetable- or plant extract" whilst selected salt, high in natural nitrate, is simply declared as "salt" thus covering up the addition of nitrate.

Cheese (from the "remnants" section-- small pieces forunder $4.00), beer, wine, fancy chocolate... I spent almost $100 there last night buying ONLY treats. UGHHHH.

Skyr icelandic cheese, fresh ricotta, olive bar, hot meal and salad bars, bakery section (especially cookies), bulk foods, heirloom beans, fresh ground honey roasted peanut butter- I could eat a tub of this stuff with nothing but a spoon.

Their Liberte' Mediterranee yogurt...love that stuff
the bakery section..
Hot and cold salad bar..

They have a pretty serious wine selection.

And good beer from all over the world.

Parrano cheese
365 brand ketchup
chiplote mayo
365 brand ginger snaps (my favorite)

For the bulk bin items like fructose and for the cheese (because they offer samples of some really good cheeses).

I buy prepared horseradish that does not cointain eggs.
i bought last week a goat cheese overed with almonds, walnuts and cranberries... have not seen it anywhere else
I love their pink grapefruit italian soda
This time around I bought 4 tubes of their tomato paste... much cheaper than the stuff I had bought in NYC's chelsea market

they have something called "salmon candy" in the fish section that is delicious. they also have an actual selection of goat milk brands!

Ok it was a very short field trip since I was late to the big game. San Marzano canned tomatoes on sale, fresh lovely cranberries, cumin and some Annie's new breakfast cereals. Also bought dinner-split pea soup, black bean soup, chicken noodle soup(so good and light), a ciabatta, fresh snap peas, white bean basil hummus and a Flatbread frozen pizza. 30 giant chocolate with white frosting cupcakes for the football team-ate one myself in the car and still feel a tad ill.
Still love Trader Joe's better for many reasons-one is the fact that it was a huge bill at WH for 2 1/2 bags of groceries. But it is lovely in WH and a good field trip!!

They have a million different types of beer and wine and peppers and chips and anything you could think of. Just take a stroll around the whole store, you'll fall in love.

Whole paycheck! You're so correct!
