Serious Eats Neighborhoodies shirts
Has anyone ordered one of these? Specifically a hoodie? Based on the info on the website (hand-stiched hoodies) it would seem that the design on the hoodie would be stitched rather than printed. After a 2-month wait for a hoodie that I ordered, the design on the hoodie is printed...so if anyone got a hoodie before, was it printed or stitched?

Dbcurrie: They've always been printed. I'm guessing the "hand-stitched" refers to the hoodie itself. The one I got right after we did this partnership with Neighborhoodies was printed.

Ah, bummer.
This is from their website: "For all of our products you get two choices: stitched or pressed."
And then they go on about how the hoodies are all stitched, but the tees are all pressed. And, for an additional $6 you can get anything stitched if it's normally pressed. There wasn't any option when I bought the hoodie to ask for stitching for the extra $6, and I just assumed that it would somehow be stitched.
It's still a cool shirt, but it would have been a lot cooler if it was stitched. I sent them an email, so we'll see. Maybe they're just referring to the lettering on the shirts, but it also seems like they stitch custom graphics if you request it.
If they can stitch the design, I'll probably end up getting another one. Praise the Lard, by the way. It's a great design.

I'd love to have one of these shirts, and I would wear it with pride; however, when I go to "Shop", there is no clothing to order - that I could find anyway.

I am a proud owner of a 'Praise the Lard' sweatshirt.
I ordered mine in red with white printing.
One day as I was riding the elevator a woman begged me to come into a meeting a few floors down from my office. Apparently the Farmer's Bureau is located there & everyone got a huge kick out of it. :)

@gastromeg, the vast array of color choices was one reason it took me so long to order. I kept going back and looking at all of them. I ended up with a brown shirt with a light gold print.

hello all, michael, owner of neighborhoodies here. the praise the lard design is really beautiful. we have it set up to order pressed, not stitched on either a tee or hoodie of your choice. if you'd like a stitched one, it would be about $20 more - we stitch these in house here in our Dumbo, Brooklyn storefront - the quality of the stitched product is unbeatable and will affirm your commitment to pork for a lifetime. if you're into the stitched order email me at michael@neighborhoodies.com - we are always amenable to special orders of any kind. ciao! m

Wow. Thanks for dropping by with that info, Michael!

Just a followup, Michael is working with me to get a stitched version of the SE Praise the Lard shirt, and I'm pretty darned excited. When I get it I'll post a photo somewhere.
I am such a hopeless food geek. Sigh.
