Nashville Eats

My husband and I are heading to a conference in Nashville in early November. Any suggestions for local favorite or must-not-miss dining spots would be greatly appreciated. The conference is at the Gaylord Opryland Hotel. We will have a car. Thanks for any information you can share!

Some local Nashville gems:
B&C Barbecue at the downtown Farmers Market; Athens Family Restaurant (excellent Greek meets 24hour diner) on 8th Ave; Thai Phoo Ket on Woodland; Marche in East Nashville; and for a treat, Las Paletas on 12 South.
Enjoy!

That BBQ place in the Farmers Market IS really good. Hubby used to work nearby and still misses it.

Thanks so much guys! I love the ideas. I would hate to head to Nashville and pick restaurants out of the phone book. These recs sound great.

Keep the comments coming, though, because we are there for a full 8 nights.

You're very close to Ellendale's - not too far from Shopryland: http://www.ellendales.com/home/ I recommend dinner or weekend brunch over lunch, but it's ALL good.

Also, Yellow Porch is a favorite, and not too far if you jump on Briley parkway and head south/west: http://www.theyellowporch.com/
