I bring home the bacon, fry it up in a pan---Dinner 10/28 Wed???

Never let him forget he's a man.....dating myself with that intro. Chicken with roasted lemons, capers and olives (Food and Wine recipe) over couscous with a big salad. It's a big hit with my people. I'll sneak some Halloween candy for dessert....huge kudos to me as I have not opened one bag and I bought it yesterday!!!

It's only around 2 p.m. here in Los Angeles, but I've already eaten what I consider to be my "dinner." I eat one large-ish meal in the afternoon and then a small snack in the evening. Anyhow, I had fried potatoes and "chili beans," which is just pinto beans and Mexican chorizo. It was a comfort food growing up and it still is.

Asian Orange Chicken with jasmine rice and broccoli. I made some gingery molasses crinkles (chewy gingersnap) for the kids to have for dessert. We've been having orange chicken once a week lately because everyone likes it and the orange glaze feels good on my sore throat and the spiciness seems to soothe my congested chest. It has me wondering about making a chicken soup with the same flavors. I'm used to a lemony chicken soup, not sure about an orange one.

Tonight's dinner will be salmon burgers with baked potatoes and oven roasted broccoli.

It's a school night, meaning I won't get home until at least 10pm, so... leftover chili from last night's dinner, or a frozen burrito.

Stranglely, I'd really like a warmed bowl of whole kernel corn with a pat of butter on top.

@dhorst would love to see the recipe you use! sounds delicious... I can never get my glazes the right consistency

Wednesday our office brings in dinner... always a surprise! hope we find out soon...

@PumpkinBear, I do the same thing... props.

Well, since I live in Philly, have no family to speak of, and tonight is the world series... I'll probably forgo an actual meal in favor of beer and gelato from Capogiro. Had a rough day, so my friends promised we could go for some dessert therapy after class tonight. And then, of course, we will watch the Phillies beat the Yankees... assuming my day doesn't want to go from rough to downright awful.

@PoorOldMama -recipe sounds delish-would you mind sharing?

@dhorst---got all the ingredients from your recipe posted in an earlier thread and when I feel up to it, I will make it---I think this weekend....

Feeling under the weather--leftover homemade mac and cheese and added steamed broccoli to it....maybe a cinnamon bun for dessert...

@unpocojmoney ---Eat a cheesesteak, man!! It will cheer you right up. Head to McNallys or Chubbys. You should SEE what I have to do to be able to cook up a decent cheesesteak up here in CT!!! GO PHILLIES!!

@italiancupcake. http://www.recipegirl.com/2008/09/15/sauteed-chicken-with-olives-capers-and-roasted-lemons-2/ It's not my website and I don't know if I am allowed to link to someone I don't know and I don't know how to do cool linking (hint hint) but this recipe is so damn good I don't care.

Oh look at me with the mad linking skillz!!

My dinner will be rather late tonight, but I think I'll have some of my dad's vegetable soup and a turkey sandwich- whole wheat, provolone, lettuce, tomato, red onion and mayo. Maybe a granny smith apple too, sprinkled with cinnamon sugar and dipped in peanut butter.

I ran two miles in 18 minutes (I'm in the last week of a 6 week fitness bootcamp) and I'm very very hungry...so I'm going to get on that now..

GO PHILLIES! Italian hoagies in front of the TV!

Just got home from dinner at our favorite Korean restaurant. My eyes are swimming.

We shared a platter of mandoo, as well as 12 dishes of banchan -- mustard cabbage kimchi, sweet vinegar konbu with cabbage and carrots, dried anchovies, daikon kimchi, sweet vinegar daikon, bean sprouts, japchae, seasoned eggplant, sweet braised potatoes, cucumber kimchi, fried tofu, and steamed egg.

I ordered a huge bowl of lamb and perilla leaves in spicy broth. Husband ordered shredded beef, mushrooms, fern, and Korean (translucent) noodles in spicy broth. We moseyed our way over to Sonic for a cherry limeade on the way home.

Since DH is temporarily working a couple of states away, it's back to solo cooking for this girl. It's a cold and rainy night and I desperately needed comfort food. Meatloaf, roasted cauliflower, and glazed carrots.

Lamb shoulder chop, roasted rosemary & garlic potatoes, and shredded brussels sprouts with figs, bacon, & onion (sort of Bittman). Tomorrow red beans & rice, as it's a bit dank and chilly here.

Chicken chow mein with chicken marinated in garlic and ginger, stir fry veggies, soba noodles and potstickers.

I have been playing with pizza for some time now. Naturally risen aged dough is the best. Still figuring out the high temps of Italian style pies.

Here was tonights creation. I used butter and olive oil basted rosemary hassleback potatoes as a pizza topping alongside proscuitto and more rosemary. It works. Not even a hint of cheese anywhere near by.

Potato Rosemary Pizza

@PoorOldMama-thanks for the recipe! And yes, impressive linkage skills!:o)
