Halloween Punch & Other Treats

Any suggestions for punch/beverages and treats/snacks to serve at a Halloween Party? Please let me know! Thanks!

hot apple cider's always good-throw in some mulling spices. and if it's an adult party-some liquor! my mom has a recipe for 'witches brew,' but i think that's basically what i just described.

as for treats/snacks-it depends on if you are doing it for kids or adults.
i'd recommend very different things for each.

My apologies for not including this in the initial post... it's an adult party. Thanks!

Halloween is one holiday when adults can be very child-like, so you can get away with doing really stupid stuff with decorations that you'd never pull off on another holiday.

For the punch, I've got no recipes, but if you want to be playful, there are plenty of ice cube trays that are shaped like bugs or whatever. Those could be fun.

As for the rest of it, what kind of food do you/they like? Are you looking for appetizers, finger-food meals, sweets? Is this supposed to be a meal or is this just for nibbles? A little more info might narrow it down a bit so you get useful answers.

Thanks for your responses. I was thinking more like appetizers and sweet treats, ie, dips and cookies, etc. Hope that is helpful. Thanks again!

I saw in Gourmet magazine once, a punch that had a ice-hand floating in it. The hand was a plastic glove with water or punch frozen inside of it, peel the glove away and you have a frozen hand for an ice cube! I thought that was a neat idea.
